Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
Sacks Thrift is contributing in meaningful ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle, one item at a time! By donating your used clothes, furniture, toys, books, jewelry or other items you are keeping them out of landfills and allowing others to find new treasures at an affordable rate.
We are proud to be part of the effort to reduce, reuse, recycle and engage in sustainable practices. What are we doing, exactly?
-Our solar panels have saved 47,000 lbs. of CO2 since installation.
-We recycle as much as possible, from paper to cardboard to metal.
-We have been replacing old fluorescent light fixtures with LEDs
-Unsellable clothing and textiles are given to American Textile Services
-Non-recyclable items that are not sellable often are put in our free piles for anyone to take
-We reuse plastic and paper shopping bags for customer purchases
-Any extra books we give to other local nonprofits or fill up those adorable little lending libraries around town.
-And of course, shopping with us and donating promotes the use of second-hand goods in lieu of buying new, keeping quality goods out of the landfill!
