A few friendly donating tips to help us AND protect your good intentions. Please check your items before dropping them off:
- Is it in sell-able condition?
- Does it work?
- Is it clean?
- Would I buy it?
- Is it on the list of items we can't accept (see below)?
WHEN TO DROP OFF YOUR ITEMS
- When the donation door is OPEN, please drop off your items!
- If the donation door is CLOSED or we have a sign saying we are full, PLEASE DO NOT leave your items. Sometimes these items are damaged due to weather and we have to throw them away.
PLEASE donate responsibly! We want to protect your good intentions!

PLEASE Donate Responsibly:
- PLEASE make sure all donations are in sellable condition. No broken furniture or dirty laundry, please. (You’d be surprised.) Donations that we can’t sell run up huge disposal costs that take away from the money we are able to give to the Help Center, Inc. programs. Although we do try to recycle everything we can, it’s an ongoing challenge to find commercial recycling options in our area.
- PLEASE NEVER leave donations when the store is closed. Abandoned stuff can be damaged or scattered by weather or random passers-by. Not only could Sacks get a citation for the mess on our property, you could be cited for illegal dumping – and we don’t want that to happen!
- Protect your good intentions – make sure you leave your donations when we’re here to thank you in person! We will also provide a receipt for tax purposes.
Thank you for supporting Help Center, Inc.!
